School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences
The School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences strives to create an environment that encourages and rewards the pursuit of academic research excellence. Members of the SPMS faculty are eligible to apply for University-wide Research Funding Programs.
Key partnerships are already underway to create unique new research initiatives with top overseas institutions. In addition to this, the Chair's Office will facilitate research endeavours, working closely with :

School of Biological Sciences
The School of Biological Sciences encompasses two research centres: the Biosciences Research Centre (BRC) and the Drug Discovery Centre (DDC) and is organized along the four major disciplines:
- Chemical and Biotechnology
- Structural and Computational Biology
- Molecular and Cell Biology
- Genomics and Genetics
The School powers its basic research within the BRC while translating applications from these research efforts to DDC. The diversity of expertise in the centres enable thematic research, e.g. relating to ageing, cancer, pathogenesis, and drug discovery, to be investigated in many ways - from understanding the biology of pathogens and mechanisms of genetic diseases to identifying targets for clinical intervention and drug development. The centres are the active platforms for cross-disciplinary interaction, creating a conducive environment for stimulating researchers' minds.
