Congratulations to Prof Loh Teck Peng (pictured left) on receiving the SNAS fellowship for his contributions in chemistry.
Prof Loh's research is in the field of organic chemistry. His research team's effort is directed towards the discovery of new reactions that can be carried out in water or ionic liquids as solvents or reactions done without solvent (solvent-free). Reactions done under these conditions offer practical convenience as it alleviates the need to handle flammable and anhydrous organic solvents.
